More details on the AFL-CIO’s Lobby Day in Lansing

From the Michigan AFL-CIO:

Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, February 22, 2011, for a LOBBY DAY in Lansing. We will begin at the Central United Methodist Church at 9:00 AM on Tuesday. There will be a briefing on anti-worker legislation that is moving through the House and Senate, followed by a talk with State Representative Woodrow Stanley (D-Flint). We will be also be having a brief lobbying training, and break out into groups to effectively lobby our state representatives and senators

Lobbying will begin at 10:30 AM with a walk over to the House Office Building. Lunch will be provided at the Boji Tower (124 W Allegan St.)

The second half of the day will commence by lobbying State Senators until 1:30, upon which we will go to the State Capitol’s House Gallery for the debate on the Emergency Financial Manager bills package.
