Another day, another loss in court for Michigan’s largest tax-waster, Attorney General Bill Schuette

by

Earlier this week the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Environmental Protection Agency’s rulemaking regarding pollutants from coal-fired power plants. The ruling allows the EPA to put tighter controls on the plants to prevent pollution in one state from having negative impacts on the health and safety of residents of another state.

Michigan Attorney General was one of a host of AGs from conservative state administrations to weigh on the side of the polluters. He was joined by the AGs of Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Bill Schuette is on a roll this year. Time after time he spends our tax dollars pursuing issues that most Michiganders disagree with or that don’t actually impact them. And time after time, he loses.

Bill Schuette may very well be the largest waster of Michigan taxpayer money in the state.
