There’s a Vagina Storm brewing over Lansing, Michigan

Vagina power!

There’s a storm brewing over the state Capitol in Lansing, Michigan this afternoon. I am pretty sure it’s a Vagina Storm:

It’s a big storm, too. It extends all the way down to Dexter, Michigan, an hour away:

Meanwhile, Senator Rebekah Warren has been sharing updates on her Facebook page throughout the day regarding this evening’s big event: the reading of The Vagina Monologues on the steps of the state Capitol. (My interview with the creator of The Vagina Monologues, Eve Ensler, is HERE.)

Here’s a look at the script for tonight’s reading:

Her latest update:

I have had numerous inquiries about the Legislative members of tonight’s cast and what parts of the monologues they will be reading. Who will be on stage first? The women whose words on the House floor led us to this place, of course! Joining @State Representative Lisa Brown and @barb byrum in the first scene will be @gretchen whitmer whose district includes our Capitol Building.

The thunderstorm may be moving out of the area but I’m pretty sure that’s because Mother Nature is making room for the Vagina Storm moving in.

See you tonight.
