Mark Schauer tied with Tim Walberg in latest MI-07 poll

by

The Hill is reporting that MI-07 Democratic incumbent Mark Schauer is now in a tied-up race with Tim Walberg. After trailing Walberg in the polls all summer, Schauer is now tied at 41%. Walberg leans among Independents by only 2% (37% to 35%).

The tightest race among the 12 [polled] is in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, a contest that has been a focal point for both national party committees. The National Republican Congressional Committee has already spent more than $650,000 running independent-expenditure ads against Rep. Mark Schauer (D-Mich.), but he remains tied with ex-Rep. Tim Walberg (R) at 41 percent in The Hill/ANGA poll.

It all comes down to GOTV, doesn’t it? And Mark Schauer has an amazing field team along with support from Organizing for America’s grassroots volunteer network.

If I were a betting man, I’d say “Advantage: Schauer”.

I’m just sayin’…
