Steele Apologizes to RNC Chief Rush Limbaugh

by

The other day, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele made a horrible mistake. By total accident, without meaning to he did something for which is eternally sorry:

He criticized the ACTUAL head of the Republican Party, comedian Rush Limbaugh.

“Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh — his whole thing is entertainment. He has this incendiary — yes, it’s ugly.”

Well, he’s really, really sorry about that.

“My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.”

It’s good to see Mr. Steele acknowlege Limbaugh’s leadership.

“I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking,” Steele said. “It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently…I wasn’t trying to slam him or anything.”

No, no, no. We didn’t think that, Michael. That’s not how you Republicans operate. Of course you apologized. Who out there didn’t know that was coming? Raise your hands if you didn’t see that one a mile away. Hmmmm…yup, just as I thought. You people are just too sharp to think otherwise.

Well done, Mr. Steele. It’s good to know that the only steel in you is in your name.

Clearly there’s none in your spine.

I’m just sayin’…
