Be Careful What You Ask For

by

Focus on the Family douchebag and digital media director for Focus on the Family’s “Focus Action”, Stuart Shepard, sent out a YouTube plea that people pray for rain on the night of Senator Obama’s acceptance speech.

In fact, not just rain but “Abundant rain. Torrential rain. Urban and small stream flood advisory rain.”

Unfortunately for them, God heard their prayers and is going to answer them. In the form of a Category Five Hurricane Gustav right as the Republican National Convention starts. It’s likely that it’s even going to hit New Orleans, unfortunately.

Must suck to be on the wrong side of … whatever. God. Karma. Cosmic Scales of Justice. Call it what you will, this isn’t good for the Republicans.

What’s comical is that they’re even talking about thinking about postponing their convention. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that’s going to screw things up so clearly there’s no way they will actually postpone it. It takes months and months of planning to pull something this big off and Big Media along with all the St. Paul businesses involved will NOT let that happen. But of course, they can certainly TALK about it, right? Almost like actually doing something, innit?

Just ask Brownie.

I’m just sayin’…
