A survival guide for today’s increasingly fascist American society

Let’s face it, every day America is becoming more and more like a fascist society. The ascension of Donald Trump to the presidency and the takeover of so many of our state governments by corporatist stooges who are dismantling protections and public schools and civil rights is plain to see and those who are most vulnerable depend on the rest of us to be their voice.

So, how do we cope with this alarming historical turn?

It will be through the building of community. The creation of localized social safety nets and pods of resistance to fight back and to be sure that we protect those who need our advocacy most.

One way to do that is to support Eclectablog. Here at Eclectablog we have built a community of caring, thoughtful, compassionate folks who want to be informed and activated to fight the things that harm our country and our state. But we can’t do it alone. We need YOUR help to keep things going. We have many bills to pay each month. Server costs. Podcast hosting costs. Site security costs. And, most important, paychecks for our amazing contributors who keep you informed and activated.

If you are able to help support us financially, we would be most grateful. There are two ways to help. First, you can use the handy PayPal forms at the top of the right sidebar to make a one-time donation via Paypal in the amount of your choice or to set up a monthly donation. Second, you can send a check (which avoids Paypal taking out a percentage of your donation) to Chris Savage, P.O. Box 32, Dexter, MI 48130. Please make the check payable to “Eclectablog”.

Alternatively, consider becoming a sponsor of our upcoming annual fundraising party (and live recording of the podcast!) You can learn more about how to do that HERE. This option is available to both individuals and organizations.

Your support of Eclectablog is an important way to continue this amazing community and to ensure our continued growth and impact.

Thanks for being part of our community.
