Give a little bit, give a little bit of your love to us

by

There’s so much that we need to share, so find yourself — and help us bring our funding home.

With apologies to Supertramp — and for giving Eclectablog’s readers an earworm — I can’t get this song out of my head during the final stretch of our fundraising week.

If you’re reading this, it’s because you think Eclectablog is worth your time. As a regular contributor, I admit I’m biased, but just consider the amazing work Chris Savage has been doing keeping up with the rapidly unfolding new developments in Flint. As LOLGOP pointed out, Chris regularly shines a light on the mess caused by political malfeasance in Michigan. That’s only one example of the consistently excellent work my colleagues do here.

Chris is dedicated to continuing to build Eclectablog, bringing on new writers as he did a few days ago with Sommer Foster, so readers can enjoy the most diverse range of perspectives possible.

All of Eclectablog’s writers are paid for each contribution, which isn’t something many other blogs can say. But Chris can’t do it alone. Eclectablog depends on the support of its readers to continue bringing you viewpoints you are not likely to read anywhere else.

Even if you can only give $5 a month — or just $5, period — it all adds up. Fundraising has been slow this quarter, so we need your support more than ever.

There are multiple ways you can help.

First, you can make your donation using this PayPal form:

Please transition to the updated PayPal settings by configuring them within the "WP Accept PayPal Payment" plugin's settings menu.
With YOUR support, all regular contributors at Eclectablog are paid for their work. If you would like to send a check to avoid fees being taken out, send it to: Chris Savage, P.O. Box 32, Dexter, MI 48130. Otherwise, you can use this Paypal form:
Other Amount:

You can choose which level of support you wish to give us from the dropdown box or choose a different level if you wish by using the “Other amount” box. The default is $60 which is basically $1 per week after the fees are taken out, a pretty good value.

Or you can wait until the TinyPass pop-up pops up (every tenth click on the site) and donate that way. If you do that, the popups will go away as long as you have cookies enabled. Like with the Paypal form, the default amounts for annual or monthly donations can be adjusted to whatever you wish them to be. They are currently set to be around $1 per week. Again, it’s a great value.

Finally, if you would prefer to send a check, send Chris an email and he’ll give you the address. This is the most beneficial way for us because it avoids the Paypal and Tinypass fees that are taken from contributions to the site.

If you work for an organization that would like to support our efforts by placing an ad, click HERE for our ad rates and more information.

By the way, you don’t have to be an organization to run an ad. Maybe you’d like to surprise your favorite progressive with a birthday message on Eclectablog or help promote your favorite group. Again, click HERE for more info.

If you cannot afford to support us financially, there are other ways that you can still help.

For instance, please share our content on your Facebook page or other social media like Twitter, Reddit, etc. Put a “Like” on our Facebook page and click the “Invite friends” button and encourage your friends to like us, too.

Thanks so much for your continued support,
Amy, Chris, Anne,LOLGOP, Tony, Emma, John, Judy, and Sommer

PS: Can’t get that song out your head now, either? Enjoy.
