Day 4: 4th Quarter Fundraiser – Got a minute?

by

Seriously, that’s all it takes: 60 seconds.

Yeah, I know. If you’re like me, headlines like this make you wince. Especially at this point in the campaign cycle. My inbox is overflowing, too.

But there’s a good reason campaigns ask for donations: They need your help to get the job done. Just like Eclectablog.

So I’ll make this quick. Eclectablog’s biggest supporters are you, our readers. We literally wouldn’t be here without you.

It doesn’t take a lot. Just a few bucks can make a big difference. And the best part? We only bug you about this four times a year. And we never send you emails asking for money.

Okay, so there are some pop-ups, too. But you can make those go away with one donation. I actually did it because I visit the site so often. Not that Chris actually let me pay, but I definitely would. I promise you it’s that much more enjoyable to read Eclectablog without interruption.

The clock is ticking — our final fundraising push of the year is almost over — so the time to give is now.

You can make your donation using the PayPal form below. You can change the amount if you wish. The default is $50 which is basically $1 per week, a pretty good value.

Or you can wait until the TinyPass pop-up pops up (every tenth click on the site) and donate that way. If you do that, the pop-ups will go away as long as you have cookies enabled. Like with the PayPal form, the default amounts for annual or monthly donations can be adjusted to whatever you want. They are currently set to be around $1 per week. Seriously, a great deal.

Finally, if you would prefer to send a check, send Chris an email and he’ll give you the address. This is the most beneficial way for us because it avoids the PayPal and TinyPass fees that are taken from contributions to the site.

If you can’t afford to support us financially, you can still help. Please share our content on your Facebook page or other social media like Twitter, Reddit, etc. Put a “Like” on our Facebook page and click the “Invite friends” button and encourage your friends to like us, too. While you’re at it, ask to “Get Notifications” on Facebook so you never miss a post.

Thanks so much for your support,
Amy, Chris, Anne, LOLGOP, Tony, Emma and Charles
