Over the past six months, the pervasive power of corporatists in our society has really hit home for me. Corporate interests have so much money, so many resources, and have created such an effective network to put their personal, self-serving, profit-maximizing stamp on our policies and laws that the rest of us seem, at times, to have little if any voice. Whether you’re a worker or poor person or a woman or in a minority group of some kind, the laws that get passed too often ensure that you won’t get a fair shake. Not only that, you rarely have any ability to affect the processes the make the policies and laws we live under.
If there is one thing I think we do well at Eclectablog, it’s to help all of these groups have a voice. We help expose the corporations’ and their corporatist minions’ influence and shine the bright, sanitizing light of truth on them every day on this site.
Once a quarter, we come to you to ask you to return the favor and support US financially.
So, if you are in a labor union or if you’re part of an organized minority group, consider making donation to help us help you. While you’re at it consider asking your labor union or group to support our efforts as well. Despite what many folks think, we do not receive money from unions or wealthy liberals like George Soros. This does not, however, stop us from supporting these groups and amplifying their message. We do that every day.
If you’d like to help, there are three ways you can do that:
First, you can make your donation using the PayPal link below. You can change the amount if you wish.
Or you can wait until the TinyPass pop-up pops up (every tenth click on the site) and donate that way. If you do that, the popups will go away as long as you have cookies enabled. Again, the default amounts for annual or monthly donations can be adjusted to whatever you wish them to be.
Finally, if you would prefer to send a check, send me an email and I’ll give you the address.
If you cannot afford to support us financially, you can still help. Please share our content on your Facebook page or other social media like Twitter, etc. Put a “Like” on our Facebook page and click the “Invite friends” button and encourage your friends to like us, too.
Thanks so much,
Chris, Anne, LOLGOP, and Amy
