Day 6 – Third Quarter fundraiser – Don’t let Eclectablog go bankrupt

by

null_zpscdfcc7c8If you saw Chris Savage announce that Detroit would be the sight of the next Netroots Nation, you know that he’s what we used to call a “rock star.”

He doesn’t just perform well under pressure but he lives the life.

Since he’s a grassroots political rock star, that generally doesn’t involve all-nighters on his tour bus that don’t end until blood spits out his nostrils.

Living the life means he’s up at the plumber’s crack of dawn writing a post or two before work, tracking stories, returning emails and coordinating whenever he gets a break and devoting his evenings to meetings, organizing and blogging until blood spits out his nostrils.

Well, maybe that’s happened once, metaphorically.

Every state needs a Chris Savage and the fine team he’s put together at Eclectablog. And no state needs it more than Michigan.

Our state is at the crossroads of red and blue, fairness and plutocracy, hope and division. In the next 18 months, we’ll decide if we’ll cede the state that launched the labor movement as it stumbles further down the path of privatization and decay or if it turns to build on the success of the president’s auto rescue and health care reform to create a future where the middle class can begin to recover.

We hope you’ll support us as we push forward on all that’s been accomplished since George W. Bush left office.

There are three ways you can do that:

First, you can make your donation using the PayPal link below. You can change the amount if you wish.

[donateplus]

Or you can wait until the TinyPass pop-up pops up (every tenth click on the site) and donate that way. If you do that, the popups will go away as long as you have cookies enabled. Again, the default amounts for annual or monthly donations can be adjusted to whatever you wish them to be.

Finally, if you would prefer to send a check, send Chris an email and he’ll give you the address.

If you cannot afford to support us financially, you can still help. Please share our content on your Facebook page or other social media like Twitter, etc. Put a “Like” on our Facebook page and click the “Invite friends” button and encourage your friends to like us, too.

Thanks so much,
LOLGOP, Chris, Anne and Amy

P.S. Tony Trupiano who hosts the Night Shift with Tony Trupiano radio show has been running an ad this week promoting our fundraiser. Check it out:
