There is no “later”

by

Wait. You’re still waiting?

Maybe you’ve been putting off getting involved in the 2012 election and the Get Out the Vote (GOTV) effort until “later”.

“I’ll wait until after Labor Day.”
“I’ll wait until it’s a little closer to Election Day.”
“I’ll wait until later.”

Well, the time for waiting is over. This is it, folks. There is no “later”. We have just four more days of GOTV, starting this morning, where we will be running GOTV operations across the country to get voters to the polls. We need all-hands-on-deck for this 4-day push. Our biggest need is for Election Day. On that day, we will go to the doors and/or call every single person we have identified as a Democratic supporter to make sure they have voted. We will contact them once. We will contact them twice. We may even contact them a third time until they answer the question “Have you voted yet?” with a “YES!”

This is how you win elections and we ARE going to win this one.

Please contact the Obama campaign office nearest you (click HERE to find it) to get signed up for a shift or, preferably, multiple shifts. If you’re in or around the Toledo area, I’m told they are having trouble filling their shifts and could use some help. You can sign up for a shift HERE. Otherwise, get to work in your own community. We need you to get involved, folks.

There is no “later”.
