Beer With Bloggers TOMORROW! Don’t miss it!

by

Mmmmm…beer…

First, a quick meta update. Please forgive the sparse blogging this past week. LOLGOP was out of town for the week and the holiday weekend for me was full of hanging out with my kids during a rare visit and enjoying the fine weather. I’m also coordinating a large community garden where I work and last night we planted a 4500 square foot garden in 3 hours. We planted over 300 plants, several hundred feet of beans and carrots, and 20 mounds of cucumbers, squash and zucchinis. Over the past two years we’ve donated three tons of fresh produce to the local food bank.

Blogging will continue to be a little on the light side through next week since Anne and I will be traveling with the esteemed blogger Muskegon Critic to the Netroots Nation conference. I already have meetings set up with the president of Working America Karen Nussbaum as well as the digital outreach team for the Obama campaign and will once again be the volunteer coordinator for the incredible Netroots for the Troops service project.

Our Beer With Bloggers event tomorrow is turning out to be quite a gala affair. With so many bloggers in attendance, it may be the “most blogged about” event in southeastern Michigan in a very long while!

Here’s our current list of confirmed bloggers:

As I mentioned before, progressive radio talk show host Tony Trupiano from First Shift with Tony Trupiano on 1310 AM WDTW will be joining us.

Other confirmed attendees are:

We hope to see you there!

Finally, in case you missed it, I was quoted in an excellent piece on Politico.com yesterday by Steve Freiss. The piece is about the anti-labor efforts that are hard a work in Michigan trying to crush our labor and public employee unions. Check it out.
