Remember that whole “you must support the president” thing we used to hear incessantly during the Bush administration? Bumper stickers demanding we “support the president”?
Then what the hell is THIS?
House Speaker John Boehner Tuesday forcefully denounced the Democrats’ campaign theme that they are for the middle class and Republicans are for the wealthy – saying the politics the president is running on are “almost un-American.”
“This is a president who said I’m not going to be a divider, I’m going to be a uniter, and running on the politics of division and envy is – to me it’s almost un-American,” said Boehner.
Yesterday, Boehner weighed in on a State of the Union speech that hasn’t even been given yet:
“It sounds to me like the same old policies that we’ve seen: more spending, higher taxes more regulation – the same policies that haven’t helped our economy; they’ve made it worse,” Boehner said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“If that’s what the president is going to talk about Tuesday night, I think it’s pathetic.”
Pathetic? That’s what psychologists call
