More Dem threats against conservatives? Or not?

by

I’m sorry, but I am having a very hard time believing that this is actually coming from liberals:

A free-market think-tank at the center of a controversy over Freedom of Information Act requests to labor-studies departments received a series of death threats and bomb threats Thursday night and early today.

Personnel at the Midland-based Mackinac Center for Public Policy reported the five calls to the FBI and the local police. Spokesman Michael Jahr told the Free Press they appeared to come from one or two women and made repeated references to “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC.

Four of the messages appeared to be from the same person. The other may or may not have been from the same woman, though in that call she left a name and indicated she lived in a neighboring state. The Mackinac Center declined to release the name or the state.

Bomb and death threats after an FOIA request? Sorry, I’m not buying it. The whole “Maddow” thing is a ruse and this is, in my opinion, as transparent an effort to discredit liberals as this idiot who paraded around his fake Snyder-as-Hitler sign at the union rally at the State Capitol building a couple of weeks ago.

If it does turn out to be a liberal, fine, send their ass to prison and I’ll join you in calling them out. But I’m not buying that it was a liberal. Not at all.

Adding…
As J Horton points out in the comments on the blog I did about the Wisconsin Republicans getting death threats, that whole bit looks a bit fishy in light of this as well. I think there’s a concerted effort on the part of a handful of conservative zealots to discredit liberals. They have to make shit up because, let’s face it, liberals aren’t by their nature violent and threatening. That’s the modus operandi of the far-right these days. I have no proof of this, of course, but I won’t be one bit surprised to find out that these are “false flag operations”.

I’m just sayin’…
