Mark Williams, tea party idol, openly plans to falsely discredit the SEIU

Mark Williams is a Sacramento-based Rush Limbaugh wannabe. He’s best known for his hypocritical campaign to defeat the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” that was neither at Ground Zero or a mosque. It was particularly hypocritical because, as a tea partier, his credo is typically centered around local control and “State’s Rights”. This does not explain why a west coast talk show radio host involved himself so deeply in an east coast issue. Thus the hypocrisy.

At any rate, Williams is now openly planning to discredit the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) by posing as a member and then, hold onto your hats, holding up horrible signs.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Eclectablog, how can one man be so twisted, so diabolical, so loathsomely eeeevil that he would hold up a nasty sign in front of cameras while wearing an SEIU t-shirt?” You are in disbelief, of course, but I’m here to show you the pure and unadulterated truth.

Here is what I am doing in Sacramento, where they are holding a 5:30 PM event this coming Tuesday: (1) I signed up as an organizer (2) with any luck they will contact me and I will have an “in” (3) in or not I will be there and am asking as many other people as can get there to come with, all of us in SEIU shirts (those who don’t have them we can possibly buy some from vendors likely to be there) (4) we are going to target the many TV cameras and reporters looking for comments from the members there (5) we will approach the cameras to make good pictures… signs under our shirts that say things like “screw the taxpayer!” and “you OWE me!” to be pulled out for the camera (timing is important because the signs will be taken away from us) (6) we will echo those slogans in angry sounding tones to the cameras and the reporters. (7) if I do get the ‘in’ I am going to do my darnedest to get podium access and take the mic to do that rant from there…with any luck and if I can manage the moments to build up to it, I can probably get a cheer out of the crowd for something extreme.

This evil genius of a plan is sure to work. It is so secret, so stealthy, so well-planned on his public website that there is no way it can fail. In fact, his followers are so convinced of this that they, too, are getting involved:

*****UPDATE: IOWA, COLORADO, MASSACHUSETTS AND SEVERAL OTHER STATES HAVE CHECKED IN…. Tea Party Patriot groups and individuals are flooding me with emails vowing to participate and come up with their own creative ruses! Several have also reminded me that we have a distinct advantage in that the SEIU primarily represents non-English speaking illegal aliens so we will be the ones whose comments will make air!!!!*****

Kinda makes you doubt this bullshit, doesn’t it?

I’m just sayin’…

A screen copy of his blog and the comments saying this needs to be in a very visible place. How about a diary at DKos? I don’t. It needs to be some place where it can go viral. Is Koch paying tea party members and busing them in? I’d like to see any proof like that out in the open. Keith Olberman would have had that on the news. Would Rachel Maddow?

The things that hide in the darkness are afraid of the light.

    • It’s on the Rec List at Daily Kos right now. It’s getting plenty of attention so far as I can see.

      • That’s not much use. It needs to be shoved in the faces of the local and network execs running the news shows that will be reporting on the demonstrations; distributed to every camera crew and reporter on the scene; heck, disseminated among all the police and other security teams that will be on scene. But first and foremost, the media must be alerted that an outside agitator is going to try to fool them.

        • It’s getting wide play all over the place. Gottalaff over at The Political Carnival, a highly-trafficked site, is giving it lots of play. Because of her, it’s on Keith Olbermann’s radar now, too.

  • The SEIU is going to crush these turkeys.

Williams is the guy that was actually kicked out of Tea Party Express for racist comments. The fact that he gets any response at all is scary. And it shows that he is still attractive to the lowest common denominator among the tea party set, which are also those most likely to do really stupid things. He may turn into a blessing in disguise for SEIU.
