Cleveland Indians fans chant “Detroit’s Bankrupt!” at last night’s baseball game

Stay classy, Cleveland

Not much to say about Cleveland Indians fans chanting “Detroit’s bankrupt!” during their game with the Detroit Tigers last night other than it was in incredibly poor taste and truly disrespectful to the hundreds of thousands of Detroit residents who have to deal with this catastrophe.

Class it up a bit, eh, Cleveland?

Oh, yeah, the Tigers won 6-5 in Cleveland in the 14th inning with a double by Prince Fielder. So there’s that.

Would’ve been very easy for Detroit fans to respond with the same number of syllables: Racist Mascot! (clap clap clapclapclap) Racist Mascot! (clap clap clapclapclap)

What can you expect from a group of tacky people whose stereotypical team logo causes racist behavior at every game?

Oh, and nobody ever chanted mean things about Cleveland? I’ve seen Indians games in more than a dozen cities, and have been subjected to far worse. It’s a baseball crowd. Put on your big boy pants and deal with it.

I don’t see an excuse in my post. Nor do I see how my class (or lack of) has anything to do that crowd.
