The Bat Signal from Andy Slavitt:
They are still pushing the Motion to Proceed on Trumpcare even having lost 3-4 votes. We have to apparently kill it, kill its ghost, then kill its zombie.

FLINT UPDATE
The Detroit Free Press: Flint says 2,181 lead pipes replaced
City of Flint’s FAST Start Initiative website on the replacement of lead and galvanized steel water service lines in the city is HERE.
Many thanks to Mike and Dawn Wagner for reaching out to us to offer Mike’s song “Unclaimed” by his band Total Strangers from the album “Lost in a Crowd” for the intro into our weekly Flint update.
Here’s Mike’s artist’s statement about this song:
The album “Lost in a Crowd” is an album about the consequences of abdication of responsibility. The song “Unclaimed” deals with the notion of how, when things go wrong, all the pieces of that process, and the ensuing liabilities, go unclaimed. It also deals with how many of the subsequent efforts made are not really efforts but attempts to try to ease one’s conscience and not really deal with the issue(s). This is reflected in the “half a cup of half baked measures” line.
The video and lyrics are below.

Lyrics to “Unclaimed” (by Mike Wagner):
Take a message, leave a number
Read the writing on the wall
No one’s home so slide it under
There’ll be someone they can call
Half a cup of half-baked measures
Just the cure for all your ills
Take a sip now you’ll feel better
But your glass will never fill
All the seams now seem to matter
All the seasons now have changed
So much glass when one pane shatters
All the pieces go unclaimed
Take a message, leave a number
Read the writing on the wall
First the rain and then the thunder
I’m so sorry no one’s called
All the memories have been settled
All the colors start to fade
Don’t you know why they made heaven?
Send the ones that went unclaimed
