Your support of Eclectablog matters for many reasons

by

Here at Eclectablog the staff and our publisher, Chris Savage, ask a few times a year for you to consider donating a few dollars to make sure independent stays just that, independent.

Does Eclectablog have a “liberal” bias? Yes and no.

Most of the staff certain lean Left, but we are paid to write (thanks to all of you), not to an ideology but to our own unique point of view and interpretations. Never once have any of us been asked to change our opinion or to try to fit the facts to a “mission” of Eclectablog. Never happened and never will!

What we are asked to do as a staff writer is to be responsible. Gather facts so our opinions and reporting are based on reality and to inject a real sense of what happens if we engage the readership in asking them to either do something or consider something. Often times that manifests as a way forward to providing transparency in local, state and federal government.

In order for that tradition and commitment to continue at Eclectablog, all that is asked is that, if you can, financially support those efforts so that either unreported, underreported or even times, misreported stories can find a home to roost.

There are two ways to help. First, you can use the handy PayPal forms at the top of the right sidebar to make a one-time donation via Paypal or to set up a monthly donation. Second, you can send a check (which avoids Paypal taking out a percentage of your donation) to Chris Savage, P.O. Box 32, Dexter, MI 48130. Please make the check payable to “Eclectablog”.

Thank you for your continued support.
