Tsarnaev “9/11 Citizen” Anti-Immigrant Angle Debunked

by

Yup, regular as clockwork, there are already FB memes going around about Boston Marathon massacre bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev becoming a U.S. citizen on 9/11 last year, as if this somehow “proves” a damned thing about immigration policy. Plus, of course, “Muslim” blah blah blah.

Of course, the reality is that there are plenty of home-grown pieces of crap of all (or no) religions as well as foreign-born pieces of crap of all (or no) religions, just as there are plenty of home-grown good people and foreign-born good people, too.

With that in mind, I’ve whipped up a simple graphic; feel free to share/repost/re-tumbl/retweet/re-pin/re-whatever (Note: The original post on Facebook has received over 17,000 “Likes” and has been Shared over 13,000 times already).

As I stated in the original post, you could easily put together a similar rogue’s gallery featuring, say, Eric Rudolph at the top with a bunch of Middle-Eastern Muslim terrorists below him to make the same point in reverse: That not all Christians should be lumped in with this one creep, since there’s plenty of non-Christian terrorists out there as well. Either way, the point is the same: Murderous creeps aren’t the sole property of any particular religion. Or ethnicity (after all, you can’t get any more Caucasian than someone actually from Caucasia…)
