Vaginas Take Back the Capitol TOMORROW – Bringing the Vagina Monologues to Lansing – SUBMIT YOUR SIGN IDEAS!

A couple of days ago, V-Day, the group founded by Eve Ensler to end violence against women, started a Facebook event page called Vaginas Take Back the Capitol. Ensler, the creator of the Vagina Monologues, will be presenting her show on the steps of the state Capitol building tomorrow along with speeches from a whole host of other women including state representatives and senators.

In just two days, over 2,140 people have RSVPed.

This event is going to be huge.

I’ll be interviewing Ensler a bit later and will have that up later today or tomorrow morning. In the meantime, do some things to make this event successful.

First, if you haven’t already, go sign up for the event and plan to attend the event. It’s from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, Monday June, 18th, 2012.

Second, whether you’re going or not, share the event with all of your Facebook friends by inviting them to it using the “Invite Friends” button at the right of the page.

Third, get some men to attend, too. It’s important for men to show their solidarity with women on this issue and let the pigs in our legislature that we decidedly do NOT endorse, support or cosign their atrocious and unconscionable behavior toward their female colleagues.
