Republicans jump the shark in their “War on Women” crusade – Release “Obama’s War on Women” video

by

Hoo boy…

Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.”

That definition of projection succinctly defines what is happening with the Republican Party at the moment. They have spent the past three years since President Obama took office doing everything they can to roll back the clock in terms of any gains made by women in this country. From enacting harsh abortion restrictions to reducing their access to health care and so much more, Republicans have been on a non-stop crusade to take away some of the basic rights that women have secured for themselves over the past few decades.

It has been called their “War on Women” because it’s difficult to characterize it accurately in any other way.

Well, Republicans are realizing that they are losing the “Woman vote”. Hugely. Women all over the country and from myriad political perspectives are leaving the Republican party in droves. And it’s no surprise.

So the Republicans are fighting back. How? By using a blatant and pathetic bit of projection and releasing laughable video titled “Obama’s War on Women”. The basic premise is that because the Democrats accepted $1 million from Bill Maher and because women had trouble in the first months of the Obama administration, President Obama is engaging in a war on women.

I am not kidding:

The only people that believe that President Obama is engaged in a war on women are Republican men and very, very stupid women.
