The 2012 election exists to prove that the GOP can do worse than Sarah Palin.
By the great @LizzWinstead.
On MSNBC this afternoon, Rick Santorum’s mega-baker Foster Friess (delicious name) said, “Back in my day, they used Bayer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.” MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who was conducting the interview, paused to grab her fan and soothe her sudden case of the vapors.
Meanwhile, the elders of Salem were convened on Capitol Hill by House Oversight Committee Chairmen Darrell Issa to look into the mandate for employers to provide women birth control. For the occasion, they made certain that no women were in attendance, as to not offend their delicate nerves, I assume.
The GOP has clearly ran off a cliff and is about to look down. The party that ran the two most disciplined Presidential campaigns in human history, 2000 and 2004, is now in the process of disintegrating before our eyes. Needless to say, this is enjoyable.
If the GOP wants to get further into this, I have some suggestions for future topics for hearings:
Should pregnant women be allowed to wear shoes in the kitchen?
The G-Spot. Myth or heresy?
Girls who wear glasses, should you make passes?
What GOP hearing would you like to see happen next?
