For tea party Republicans, it’s business as usual — and then some

Nepotism is so offensive that, when you see it, your first instinct is to want to shake someone by the lapels, shake them silly, then throw them out into the street.

In this case, it would be Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker lying in the dirt and dust in the road in front of the saloon.

It’s good to be born to people who know people.

That’s largely the perception many Wisconinites are taking away from this weekend’s revelation that the son of a major political donor to Republican Governor Scott Walker landed a very well-heeled post in the state’s Department of Commerce with apparent ease.

His qualifications: dropping out of college, working for a few Republicans, working for a lobbyist shop and getting busted a couple times for DUI.

Brian Deschane is in his mid-20s and making over $81,000 per year working for the state of Wisconsin. He even got a raise a couple of months after he took the job. He makes almost twice what the average socialistic budget-busting parasitic leach teacher makes in Wisconsin and his raise was higher than theirs, too.

The tea party folks should be rallying in the streets with torches and pitchforks to condemn this wanton abuse of political power and raw display of corruption by the Walker administration. Walker himself should be condemning this and demanding the head and job of the person responsible.

Instead: crickets.

Oh, and don’t forget, Scott Walker’s so-called “budget repair bill” converts over three dozen civil service jobs to — get this — political appointee positions.

These people, the tea partyers and Scott Walker himself, are nothing more than a bunch of pure and unadulterated hypocrites.

I’m just sayin’…
