Bill O’Reilly proves he’s not worthy to kiss President Obama’s shoe

by

Just sitting here watching the Fox interview with President Obama during the Superbowl pregame.

I’ve never seen such an unprofessional, disrespectful interview of any President ever.

He constantly cut-off the President.

He constantly interjected his own opinions.

Un-effing-believable.

President Obama was poised and answered O’Reilly’s questions intelligently and thoughtfully. I don’t know how he was able to do it given the juvenile, completely unprofessional nature of O’Reilly’s questions and demeanor but he represented himself very well.

I can only assume the reaction to O’Reilly’s behavior will be one of scorn and derision. It deserves nothing more.

Here’s the video:

Transcript HERE.

Some choice tweets:

You know what? Disagree with Obama all you want but respect the office and let the man finish a sentence.

Where does #OReilly get the balls to shout at & interrupt our POTUS??

#OReilly, that interview was beyond low-class. Trying be a pro next time. He’s the #POTUS not the #AlaskanBarbie

Obama hits a home run w/ a nervous O’Reilly: “I know football, man!” Fav part: Barack ‘splainin’ the federal judiciary 2 an ignorant Bill-o

#billoreilly ws nt evn respectful of the Office of the Pres. Kept interrupting Obama. Rude interview skills.

Whether you love or hate the President…He’s the #President! #Respect him! #Dumbass #BillOreilly

Bill O’Reilly throws every underhanded interview technique at Pres. Obama, then says he hopes the Pres. Thinks he’s fair #delusional #prick

Best part of Obama’s interview w/ Bill O’Reilly: when Bill said “I hope you think I’m fair,” Obama managed not to burst out laughing.

All of those that think that the President made a mistake allowing himself to be interviewed in this way are likely to be proven quite wrong. As zenbassoon at Daily Kos put it so well in in her comment:

Here’s Bill-O’s problem:
He was speaking to the 2 million who watch Fox.

ONE BILLION people just watched him make an ass of himself.

This will not end well for O’Reilly but President Obama will once again prove he’s able to handle his opponents with aplomb and, at the end of the day, hand them their asses all while seeming to be under attack.

Brilliant.

Here’s one of the most offensive bits of the interview:

O’REILLY: “Does it disturb you that so many people hate you?”

POTUS: “The people who dislike you don’t know you. The folks who hate you they don’t know you. What they hate is whatever funhouse mirror image of you that’s out there. So you don’t take it personally.”

Really, dude? You just asked the President of the United States of America if it disturbs him that “so many people hate” him?

Bush league. Not. Worthy.

I’m just sayin’…
