The Cult of Personality

by

This is interesting:

Rick Davis, campaign manager for John McCain’s presidential bid, insisted that the presidential race will be decided more over personalities than issues during an interview with Post editors this morning.

“This election is not about issues,” said Davis. “This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates.”

This from a campaign that has ridiculed Senator Obama for being a “celebrity”? Really? You’re going there, Mr. Davis? Bad move.

Also, I heard him (via podcast) this morning in an interview with Dick Gregory and he actually slipped and called McCain’s VP pick “Sarah Failin’…uh…Palin”.

Freudian slips don’t get any funnier than that! LOL.

I’m just sayin’…
